ARIZONA COMMUNITY ACTION ASSOCIATION CENSUS 2010 POVERTY DATABASE FOR ARIZONA
The Arizona Community Action Association (ACAA) created this online poverty database as an easy-to-use tool for community planning, grant-writing, needs assessments and public policy deliberations.
The data from the 2010 Census American Community Survey has been reformatted to provide much-friendlier access to Arizona poverty statistics. The full report is available on the U. S. Census Bureau’s American FactFinder website.
The poverty-related data here includes tables for the U. S., each Arizona county, all cities and towns over 5,000 population and every Legislative and Congressional district.
Data tables are arranged in two PDF formats:
Single Data Subjects
Single poverty data subjects for all geographic areas and
Many poverty-related subjects for individual geographic areas.
(NOTE: Spreadsheet versions of all tables are available upon request. Call ACAA at 602-604-0640.)
To help you decide which format to use, consider these sample questions:
1. “What is the level of poverty among persons aged 65 years or older in Cottonwood and Prescott, compared with Yavapai County, Arizona and the United States?”
USE: Poverty data comparisons among Arizona geographic areas
2. “What are the demographic characteristics of poverty in Congressional District 6?”
USE: Poverty data profiles for individual geographic areas
